Using The GET 800 Series Of Books Effectively
Step 1:
Begin with your last actual PSAT or SAT math score. If you do not have a score, take an SAT from the “College Board’s Official SAT Study Guide” under timed conditions to get your math score (you do not need to review your answers at this time).
Step 2:
Begin with the appropriate level of “28 SAT Math Lessons to Improve Your Score in One Month.” If your score is below 500 use the Beginner Course. If your score is between 500 and 600 use the Intermediate Course. If your score is over 600, use the Advanced Course. If your score is over 600, but you see that you are getting several Level 1, 2, or 3 questions wrong, you should begin with the Intermediate Course.
Step 3:
After completing the 28 Lessons book, take an SAT from the “College Board’s Official SAT Study Guide” under timed conditions to get your new math score. Use the “SAT Prep Official Study Guide Math Companion” to compare the solutions in there to yours.
Step 4:
If your score has gone to the next score range, then begin using the next “28 SAT Math Lessons” book in the series. For example, if your previous score was 450, and your new score is 550, you can now move up from the Beginner Course to the Intermediate Course.
As another example, if your previous score was 550, and your new score is 650, you can now move up from the Intermediate Course to the Advanced Course.
If your score is still in the same range, use “320 SAT Math Problems” to get past your sticking point.
For example, if your previous score was 300, and your new score is 400, then you probably still need practice with Level 1 and 2 problems. Practice these problems from the 320 Problems book for a few more weeks. Then take another SAT from the “College Board’s Official Study Guide” under timed conditions to get your new math score. Use the “SAT Prep Official Study Guide Math Companion” to compare your solutions to those in the test you completed.
Step 5:
If you have completed the Advanced 28 Lessons book and would like additional practice, use “320 SAT Math Problems.” Focus on the Level 4 and 5 problems from this book.
Step 6:
Finally, read “The 32 Most Effective SAT Math Strategies” to review each of my strategies one by one and practice applying them to a wide range of SAT Math Problems.
Step 7:
Take another practice test from the College Board’s Official Study Guide under timed conditions to get your new math score. Use the “SAT Prep Official Study Guide Math Companion” to compare the solutions in there to yours.

Who Created The Plan And Wrote The Books?
These books and this study plan were created and written by Dr. Steve Warner, a New York native who earned his Ph.D. at Rutgers University in Pure Mathematics in May, 2001. While a graduate student, Dr. Steve won the TA Teaching Excellence Award.
After Rutgers, Dr. Steve joined the Penn State Mathematics Department as an Assistant Professor. In September, 2002, Dr. Steve returned to New York to accept an Assistant Professor position at Hofstra University. By September 2007, Dr. Steve had received tenure and was promoted to Associate Professor. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Precalculus, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Mathematical Logic, Real and Complex Analysis, Set Theory and Abstract Algebra.
Over that time, Dr. Steve participated in a five year NSF grant, “The MSTP Project,” to study and improve mathematics and science curriculum in poorly performing junior high schools. He also published several articles in scholarly journals, specifically on Mathematical Logic.
Dr. Steve began tutoring mathematics over 15 years ago. He has been tutoring for standardized tests, the SAT in particular, both individually and in group settings for over 10 years. His SAT prep classes have been extremely effective in raising student math scores, usually well over 100 points, and many of his students have received perfect scores.
